About the role: We are looking for a Kafka AMQ Devops Administrator to join our client’s team!
Your role in the Team
As a Messaging Operations Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the seamless integration, stability, and performance of our messaging platforms, primarily Kafka, with secondary AMQ. You’ll work in a DevOps environment, collaborating closely with development and operations teams.
What you’ll do
Provide operational support for Kafka and AMQ messaging systems, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
Take ownership of incident detection, diagnosis, and resolution, ensuring timely service restoration.
Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for messaging services and related infrastructure.
Support cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP), optimizing scalability and performance.
Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect issues in the messaging pipeline.
Investigate and resolve technical issues related to messaging systems and cloud environments.
Develop scripts (Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for messaging integration and operational excellence.
Document procedures and share knowledge within the team.

What you’ll need
4+ years of experience experience with Kafka or AMQ administration.
Good experience in cloud environments (AWS, GCP).
Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
Scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.).
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Good to Have API Experience.
