A Cambridge-based company is looking for a dynamic, creative developer to join their development team and build extraordinary software. You will be working for a unique, diverse, and collaborative organization serving Research & Education networking.
Current Status of the Client Project:
1) Information and Data Strategy: They have recently finalized their information and data strategy, which outlines the key objectives, principles, and actions required to achieve our information management goals. This strategy serves as the foundation for the ongoing project.
2) Microsoft 365 Deployment: As part of their project, they are deploying MicrosoL 365 (M365) as our official Document Management System (DMS) and Intranet solution. This deployment aims to consolidate all internal documentation within a single repository and establish a company Intranet to enhance collaboration and communication among team members.
We are seeking an Information Management Consultant-M365 who can provide the following services to our clients:
- Expert Advice and Guidance:
- Offer expert advice on best practices and emerging trends in information management to ensure the project aligns with the latest industry standards.
- Provide guidance to M365 developers on incorporating information management best practices into the M365 deployment.
- Project Support:
- Assist in implementing the information and data strategy by providing hands-on support, including project management, creation and maintenance of information Asset Register (IAR), system integration, and process optimization.
- Data Governance:
- Help establish and refine data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of our information assets.
- Training and Capacity Building:
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the information management capabilities of our staff and stakeholders.
- Performance Measurement:
- Assist in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of the information management project.

- Demonstrable skills in information management and its implementation.
- Membership in the Information & Records Management Society (IRMS).
- In-depth knowledge of MS365 and its application to information management.
- The consultant must have relevant professional qualifications in information management, data governance, or a related field.
- The successful candidate must have direct experience in delivering a full information management strategy including managing data collection for IARs.
- The ability to design process flows, document folder setups, and necessary workflows on a team-by-team basis is also essential.
- Demonstrable experience in successfully delivering similar information management projects, particularly within the Research & education sector and within organizations of comparable size and complexity.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and follow a detailed project timeline with clear milestones and deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with our staff and stakeholders throughout the project.
- Capability to design and deliver comprehensive training programs to build capacity within our team.
- Experience in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track project progress and measure impact.
- Regular progress reports and updates to ensure transparency and accountability.
