Core Team

Product Manager (Pre-order Consumer Journey)

Bengaluru, Karnataka
Work Type: Full Time
About the Company:

A fast-growing vertical quick-commerce company is reimagining how building materials and construction supplies reach job sites and homes. The business combines hyperlocal fulfillment infrastructure with a category underserved by fast, reliable delivery - including plywood, adhesives, tiles, sanitaryware, electricals, hardware, and more. The mission is to make ordering construction materials fast, predictable, and convenient for contractors and trade professionals.

Role Overview
We are looking for an Associate Product Manager / Product Manager to own and scale the Pre-order Consumer Journey - the end-to-end experience for customers ordering materials that cannot move on an instant-delivery promise. You will own the journey from discovery and commitment through payment, scheduling, tracking, and the delivery-day experience, working closely with supply, fulfillment, category, engineering, and design teams.

What You'll Own
-Consumer Journey: Define and evolve the pre-order experience across discovery, cart, payment (advance/partial/COD), delivery-slot selection, and order tracking.
-Bulk & Non-Stocked Ordering: Design flows for large-basket, high-AOV, and made-to-order categories where availability, lead time, and logistics vary by SKU and location.
-Trust & Transparency: Build clear visibility into order status, expected delivery windows, partial fulfillment, and delays to reduce support load and build customer trust.
-Funnel & Conversion: Own conversion and drop-off metrics across the pre-order funnel; run experiments on slotting, pricing transparency, payment options, and communication touchpoints.
-Cross-functional Alignment: Partner with supply chain and fulfillment teams to reflect true material availability, vendor lead times, and delivery capacity in the customer-facing journey.
-Post-order Communication: Coordinate confirmations, reminders, rescheduling, and delivery-day notifications across SMS, WhatsApp, and app touchpoints with minimal manual intervention.
-Metrics Ownership: Define and track metrics such as pre-order conversion rate, cancellation/reschedule rate, on-time fulfillment percentage, and NPS/CSAT.

What We're Looking For

- 2-4 years of Product Management experience, with at least 2+ years owning a consumer-facing transactional journey such as checkout, booking, pre-order, or fulfillment flows.
-Experience in e-commerce, quick commerce, marketplaces, travel/booking, or logistics-heavy consumer products is preferred.
-Strong grasp of funnel analytics and experimentation; comfortable defining metrics, running A/B tests, and translating data into product decisions.
-Demonstrated ability to work closely with supply chain, operations, or fulfillment teams to design operationally feasible customer experiences.
-Strong product sense for high-consideration, high-value purchases, with an understanding of how trust, transparency, and communication influence conversion.
-Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to align engineering, design, category, and operations stakeholders.
-Hands-on familiarity with tools such as Jira, Figma, Amplitude/Mixpanel, SQL, and analytics dashboards.
-Experience in building materials, home improvement, industrial B2B, or hardlines categories is a strong plus, but not mandatory.

 What Success Looks Like

- A pre-order journey customers trust enough to commit advance payment for bulky, high-value materials.
-Meaningful improvement in pre-order-to-delivery conversion, with measurable reductions in cancellations and support escalations.
-A scalable framework for onboarding new bulk/pre-order categories as the business expands into new materials and cities.

Why Join

-Own a high-impact consumer journey in one of the world's largest and least-digitized categories.
-Work at the intersection of consumer product thinking and real-world physical-goods logistics.
-Join a small, senior team with high ownership, fast decision-making, and direct access to leadership.
-Competitive compensation, ESOPs, and the opportunity to shape a category-defining product at an early stage
