About the role: Network Engineer
This is a hybrid role with 2 or 3 days a week of work from the office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Your role in the team:
You'll be responsible for configuring and supporting the Datacentres, Colo-Locations and Enterprise Networks as well as using best-of-breed tooling to proactively monitor the infrastructure.
Part of the follow-the-sun operational support model, providing support to global infrastructure. You'll be proactive, working across teams to identify underlying issues and developing a plan to resolve the underlying issue or risk.
What you’ll do:
You will play an integral role in the Global Network team, serving as a key resource for all Network-related activities, including operating, deploying, and scaling Network Infrastructure.
Your core responsibilities will include delivering strong support and implementation services for Network and Security functions across IG's hosted Data Centers, Colocation Sites, and Enterprise Networks.
What you’ll need for this role:
• 8 Years+ of experience with Exposure to working with multi-vendor Data Center environments e.q Arista, BIG-IP, Fortinet, Infoblox, Cisco, etc..
• Extensive comprehension and exposure in Network Deployment and Operations, along with a deep familiarity with industry-leading routing and switching design principles, including expertise in Arista Leaf & Spine Model, V×LANing, MLAGing, etc.
• Hands-on experience with routing protocols (BGP & multicast) and switching protocols (Vlans, STP, RSTP, VTP, trunking, CEF, etc..).
• Proficient with Packet level analysis AND possess knowledge of products like Arista-CloudVision, LogicMonitor, ExtraHop, Corvile, etc..
• Strong Hands-on exposure on load balancing Products, specifically F5 load balancers.
• Knowledge on Zscaler products - ZIA/ZPA .
• Exposure on Meraki SD-WAN and Wireless solution.
• Proficient in automation using Python or other relevant programming languages to optimize routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
