Role Purpose
Our Microsoft Services Operations Team is looking for an Engineer with extensive knowledge and experience supporting day to day operations in a Microsoft infrastructure environment. Core responsibilities will be to maintain & support the Microsoft Windows Server platform. The engineer should possess a broad understanding of Windows technology (hardware & software) and its application in a business environment.

Requirements:
- 7+ years experience in Microsoft world.
- You must have very good Windows Server administration/troubleshooting skills and effectively monitor and resolve SCOM alerts
- Identity management on platforms using Azure Active Directory and Active Directory Domain Service
- Install, upgrade, configure and maintain server systems hardware and software;
- Working knowledge of File Server Administration, Remote Desktop Services.
- Intermediate PowerShell scripting;
- Knowledge on SQL server maintenance and support; knowledge of Exchange Server 2019, Exchange Online, and related technologies. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and Azure infrastructure.
- Good network troubleshooting skills, to determine root cause of outages (desktop vs server vs network infrastructure)
- The role includes a shift-rotation covering 7 am – 6 pm. They will also be required to participate in the out of hours on-call roster (currently 1 week in Month)

What you will do:
- Proactively work within the team on requests & incidents. Engineer will recommend hardware, software and configuration improvements, while managing a number of infrastructure related projects, upgrades, and day-to-day administrative "housekeeping" chores within the environment
- You will be responsible for performing monthly Windows Server patching using Microsoft System Center - Configuration Manager (SCCM) and ensure all servers meet patching compliance each month
- Provide third-level support for the End User Compute team, including working closely with the vendors to troubleshoot critical and complex production issues
- Involved in project work relating to technologies managed by the team
